Pretty Shady X MR
Mitch Revs is a surf and skate graphic artist who grew up in the coastal city of Newcastle. Although Mitch spends his time bringing a little more colour up and down the coast while working on creative murals and repping the surf culture, he is vigilant about doing what he can to protect his skin. A tee, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are Mitch’s staples for keeping ‘shady’ while creating outdoor art.
“I’m really lucky that everyday I get to inspire people with my work. It’s really cool that with Pretty Shady I have the opportunity to show people the importance of skin protection. Pretty Shady is about taking a stand and making noise about something so important – preventing skin cancer! Let’s start the revolution, protect yourself.”
“Painting murals outside, there’s not much shade, so it’s important to cover up no matter where I am. Sun safety is important to me and I always make sure my skin is protected. When I was young, I was never allowed out of the house without sunscreen, a t-shirt and a hat. Working with Pretty Shady I want to spread this message to the people that haven’t been taught this way, but also remind people of the importance of sun protection and how easy it is to reduce your risk of skin cancer.”
